Are you ready to create your dream wedding at The Fire Garden?
“The twisting canopy of trees filled with red pomegranates, the flickering candles and blazing campfire-sculptures, the pillow-filled domes, couches, and sparkle of laser fairy-lights… Once I saw this venue I knew there would be no other as unique and magic.
The Fire Garden is a treasure and perfect for anyone who wants their event to be a little different, and a lot of awesome.
It really has that kind of natural magical feel to it… how to describe? Like Princess Mononoke. Like Labyrinth. Like the Dark Crystal.
The owners are super accommodating and available. The price is affordable and they have connections to caters and artist and stuff to make it easy.
The groom and I were actually the last ones to leave our own wedding because we loved this place so much. Laying on a outdoor canopy bed under a full November moon… Wow!”

“The Fire Garden in Bonsall was our first and last location we looked for our Summer 2008 wedding. Set amongst a backdrop of mature trees, like the gorgeous blooming pomegranate trees, are romantic inlets and exotic iron fire sculptures to tease the eyes.
My husband says his favorite part about our wedding was saying his vows in a such an earthy spiritual place. The atmosphere is intoxicating and makes it seems as if you have stepped out of your ordinary everyday and into a magical escape.
My favorite part about our wedding was that The Fire Garden was a location that enabled my wedding wishes to transpire and for us and all of our dearest friends and family to experience something they never had nor will.”

“On June 18, 2011, my wife and I held our wedding reception at the Fire Garden, and it couldn’t have been any more perfect. The location is absolutely beautiful. There were artists at our wedding that loved Tony’s wonderful sculptures, and there were botanists that were amazed by the incredible plants all around the place. When the sun goes down is when the place really is at its best, with the fire sculptures coming to life and the lighting setting the perfect mood.
Tony was an absolute delight to work with, not only for us but for every single one of the vendors we brought in for the reception. He was always more than happy to go the extra mile and make sure all of our needs were taken care of. We could set things up early, clean up the next day, all things that you can’t usually do with “more typical” reception venues. He personally worked with the caterers, DJ, photographers, and florists to make sure everything would turn out just the way we wanted it.
If you are looking for a totally unique experience that you and all your guests will remember forever, you need look no further. Don’t forget to plan to see the location after sunset for the maximum enchantment.”

If it wasn’t for the beautiful setting of the gardens, the ambiance lent by all of Tony’s amazing fire sculptures, the huge tents, dance floor, sound system and decorations, our wedding would not have been so memorable.
It is the cheapest price in San Diego for what you get, great hosts (very accommodating as well), plenty of parking, easy to find yet well hidden, and the lush landscaping makes this venue one of Southern California’s finest.”

“Our wedding at The Fire Garden was more beautiful than we could have imagined! We had attended several events there, so had some idea of what to expect — but our expectations were greatly exceeded. The sheer beauty of the site’s gardens was greatly enhanced by the fire sculptures, artwork, lighting effects, and fabric treatments; we needed very little additional decoration to personalize the site for our wedding. Our guests were in awe! It was truly a magical event, and Tony and Lucy were delightful to work with. We can’t thank them enough!”

“When you are planning a wedding, there is nothing you can do until you have the location and date nailed down. We knew we didn’t want our ceremony and reception in a hotel or restaurant. After a number of hours looking at parks and other outdoor places we were getting discouraged and figuring we would just elope.
But when we visited The Fire Garden we knew in an instant that it was going to be the perfect place for both our wedding and reception, and the wedding was ‘back on’!
Tony was great, helping us with great ideas, tolerating the many visits of caterers and florists, and making us feel at home. The site is so flexible, you can adapt it to any size group to make it feel intimate.
When the big day came, the site was beautiful – lush trees, ripe pomegranates, natural vines and flowers – with lots of different areas for people to gather and enjoy themselves. We were married by an Inca Shaman and I swear that Tony had arranged for a flock of birds to fly over the ceremony at just the right time.
The best part came as we left the ‘ceremony area’ and came back to the reception. Dusk had fallen and Tony had all the lights on and fires lit. It was stunningly beautiful. We had been told about the lighting, but we had never seen the site at night until that moment – that even made the site seem special and new to us. At the end of the night, our guests made smores over the open fires instead of being served cake.
We had roughly 100 guests and almost every one commented on how unique and beautiful the site and wedding was. If we were greedy, we’d wish that no one would ever have a wedding there again, but the place is too awesome not to share. We hope you choose to have your wedding at The Fire Garden and that you enjoy it every bit as much as we enjoyed ours.”

“The Fire Garden is a superb setting for large outdoor weddings such as ours was. The inviting environment, simultaneously spacious and intimate, captivated our guests with its lush beauty. It was the perfect environment for our wedding.
There are elegant shade structures giving a breezy, relaxing respite from the typically sunny weather, and it is well suited for DJ’d music and live performances. At night the garden is lit from multiple fires and braziers.
Working with Tony was great too.He was flexible and accommodating in all respects and worked hard to make the wedding the best it could be. We were able to have a creative two-day weekend wedding with our own caterers, bartenders and music, not to mention camping areas, something that is unheard of elsewhere.
Even now, years later, our friends and family still gush about how amazing our wedding was, and that is in no small part because of this wonderful place.”

I’d have to say The Fire Garden was about the most neat and unique wedding venue/event venue I’ve seen in the whole of the county. Nothing quite compares to it. The owner was just about the sweetest guy to meet and I loved seeing all creations scattered about the property. I got the feeling on our tour that they were really flexible (within reason) for planning an event here and the cost was really decent for an outdoor event with such a unique atmosphere. I do agree its a challenge to find this spot (the turn into the driveway comes up quickly) so I do suggest seeing the place in advance to figure out how guests would be able attend. But once you are in the gates to the property there is nice sizable lot to park cars in (or even to park a few RVs if that’s your thing). I’d say The Fire Garden isn’t for the usual princess wedding couple. It has the beautiful artistic flare, sort of a mix between bohemian, eclectic, hippie, trippy, funky, fairy, moroccan/worldly style to it. The property has amazing places to just chill and hang secluded among the canopies of trees, foliage and arbors….lots of places to hang. The Fire Garden would make for a very unique party event. And I can only imagine what a “trip” it would be and how magical it would be at night. So it’s perfect for the couple that is a bit bohemian, artsy, crafty, hippy, eclectic themselves…it’s right up your alley. About the only drawback (well maybe not much of a drawback for many outdoorsy types I guess – ha!) is that you don’t have real plumbing and toilets, just port-a-potties…so just something to keep in mind. The owner does live on site but seemed to be very chill about the possibilities there. And I loved see what creations he makes into awesome pyrotechnic and artistic displays of up-cycled items. I may have to commission him for some awesome backyard fire pit or something neat once we get a new home…love the work he has done. I love that he has basically opened his home and has his eclectic works on display for others to enjoy at their special event. The Fire Garden is truly a special place and if looking for a special place you should definitely put fire garden on your list of “to check out”. It’s worth the drive. Kat A -
Perfect. We took one step into The Fire Garden and knew it was the perfect venue for our March wedding. This was exactly what we were looking for….we wanted a backyard feel, but still special enough to host a wedding.
The owner has created an amazing escape with the perfect balance of his collection of rustic finds while still providing a blank slate for you to create the event that is exactly what you want.
The fire sculptures and colorful lights make the garden really come to life when the sun goes down. Our guests could not say enough about how amazing the venue was and how much fun they were having exploring the property. So many cool little spaces for people to linger and chat, including an outdoor living room, and even a canopy bed!
There is a seperate space for the ceremony and reception area, so you can have the whole event all in one space but it feels like you have moved to different rooms. The best part was that we didn’t have to leave to take photos, we just walked around the property and took advantage of the lush landscaping and art.
Another bonus – you can bring your own caterer and alcohol!! And, there is already a built in bar which is amazing!
I can’t say enough about how amazing and unique this property is. You have to go and visit to see for yourself. And the owner is so gracious and easy to work with. You will not be dissapointed if you are looking for a unique spot that people will talk about for years to come! Mellissa and Travis
So much to say about The Fire Garden. To start, I would like to mention that is a sacred paradise hidden in Bonsall. Every event I have attended has left me feeling like I adventured to another world and left the default behind. Tony has sculpted the Garden in such way to open your eyes to what the world really is. A place of peace and beauty. As for the countless wonderful people I have met there, they hold a special place in my heart. You are always greeted with love and respect. As for the music, it always takes my spirit to a higher place. I know that Tony and the Dj’s that play there put so much effort in setting the perfect mood. Not only does the Fire Garden provide music and amazing hospitality as well as sights, there are unforgettable performances held there. I had never seen fire poi or hoops before..and I will never forget my first show. Most of all I cherish the memories this place has gifted me. I had told my boyfriend for the first time I loved him at the Fire Garden during the Beltane festival….Im absolutely positive such a setting as the Garden allowed him to see he loved me too…We are now married….those are just a few things I have to say about this paradise… Sabrina V
